Junior Coffee Roaster
Salary: PLN 7,000 – 8,000 gross / month – Employment contract or Mandate contract
Is specialty coffee more than just a drink to you? Do you distinguish Ethiopia from Colombia, do you enjoy cuppings and want to know what happens to the bean before it reaches the cup?
If you already have experience in the coffee industry and want to develop under the guidance of the Polish Roasting Champion, then we might be looking for you :)
Responsibilities
- Preparation of the roaster and workstation for production.
- Preparation of coffees for the roasting process.
- Supporting the roasting process of specialty coffees in accordance with applicable procedures.
- Cleaning, maintenance, and ensuring the proper technical condition of the roaster.
- Maintaining order and organization of the production area.
- Labeling and describing products in accordance with applicable quality standards.
- Reporting stock shortages, raw material demand, and work performed.
- Supporting the production team in daily tasks related to the roastery's operation.
- Participation in cuppings, sensory tests, and quality control activities.
Requirements and Qualifications – who do we need?
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with coffee (e.g., in a specialty coffee shop or similar environment).
- Knowledge of the basics of the specialty coffee world – you understand what cupping, coffee origin, processing, and bean freshness are.
- Interest in coffee sensory evaluation and a desire to develop skills in assessing quality and flavor profiles.
- Accuracy, conscientiousness, and responsibility in performing daily duties.
- Good work organization and ability to follow procedures.
- Readiness to work requiring repeatability and attention to detail.
- Desire for continuous learning and developing coffee knowledge at an expert level.
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a team.
